About the practice

Oceanside Dental is Dr. Basi's small, independent practice in Rockland. Three things matter here: our patients, the work, and the team who does it.

The dentist

Sanju Basi, DDS

Dr. Basi grew up in Toronto and earned his DDS at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2018. He spent his early career in Colorado, working across public health clinics and private practice — experience that taught him to treat every budget and every situation without judgment, and to explain things so they make sense the first time.

He moved to the Midcoast for family and stayed for the community. He serves on the board of Waterfall Arts in Belfast. Outside the office he's usually somewhere along this coast with his husband Zach and their dog Harvey.

His work is meticulous, his hands are light, and he'd rather answer one more question than leave you guessing.

Our patients

We treat people, not charts. You'll see the same team at every visit, and we'll remember what matters to you — the tooth you're keeping an eye on, the wedding in June, the crown that has to last. Everyone here is cared for the way we'd want our own family cared for.

The work

We provide care. We don't sell treatment. Every recommendation meets a standard Dr. Basi puts his name on: precise, well planned, built to last. He'll show you what he sees, explain why it matters, and send findings, options, and costs home with you in writing.

Our team

People who like what they do and who they work with. They answer the phone, handle your insurance, and remember your name — and a practice is only as good as the people running it. You'll notice the difference from the front desk on.

Who you'll meet

A hygienist who'll know your gums better than you do. An assistant beside you through every procedure, watching how you're doing. A front desk that answers the phone in this building, schedules your visits, and handles your insurance company so you don't have to.

It's small enough that you'll know everyone by the end of your first visit — and they'll know you.

The office

Accurate from the first scan.

Digital x-rays at a lower dose than film. 3D imaging for planning implants. An intraoral scanner instead of putty impressions, so the record of your teeth is exact.

None of it is here for novelty. An exact record means work that fits right the first time, fewer surprises along the way, and less of your time spent getting something adjusted.

Come meet us.

An exam is the easiest way to see whether this is the right practice for you. No commitment beyond the hour.
